Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information Clearer Health collects, why, and your rights.
Last updated: 29 October 2026
Who we are
The data controller is Clearer Health, a nutrition & wellness coaching service. You can contact us through the online contact form.
What we collect
- Contact and enquiry forms: your name or nickname, email address, the topic and your message, plus your tick to agree to our using these details to reply. When you send a form, it is delivered securely through our email sending provider (Resend) to our inbox.
- Purchases: your name, email address and order details, when you buy a guide. Card payments are handled by our payment provider, and we never see your card details.
- Consultations: the information you choose to share in your workbook, such as your name or a chosen nickname, age, height, weight, sex assigned at birth, your concerns and a short diary of your food and lifestyle (see below). We do not ask for anything we do not need, such as your address.
- Website visits: anonymous visit counts from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or collect personal data.
Health information and explicit consent
Information about your health is “special category” data. Please don’t send detailed medical information through the website forms. If you mention anything about your health in an enquiry, we use it only to reply to you, based on your explicit consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw this consent at any time by messaging us through the contact form.
If you become a client, we will ask for your explicit consent before collecting any health history in your workbook. Client records are stored securely, seen only by our team, and kept only for as long as needed. You can use a nickname, although details such as age, sex, height and weight may still be needed to give useful advice.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- Replying to your enquiry: our legitimate interests in answering you, or taking steps at your request before a contract.
- Health details in an enquiry or consultation: your explicit consent (UK GDPR article 9(2)(a)).
- Orders and consultations: to perform our contract with you, and to meet our legal obligations (for example tax records).
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your information. We use these service providers (processors) to run the site and business, under contracts that protect your data:
- Cloudflare (website hosting and security)
- Resend (sends your form message to us by email; its servers for us are in Ireland)
- Google (email inbox)
- Our payment and download provider (for guide purchases)
International transfers
Resend processes form messages in Ireland, which is covered by UK adequacy regulations for the EEA. Some of our other providers may process data outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations (including the UK–US “data bridge”) or the ICO’s International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to keep your data protected.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: only as long as needed to reply, unless you become a client.
- Client records: only as long as needed, and no longer than necessary.
- Order records: 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to (HMRC requirement).
Cookies
This site does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or collect personal data, to count visits. Fonts are hosted on this site, so browsing it makes no requests to other companies.
Your rights
You have the right to access your information, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (this doesn’t affect anything we did before you withdrew it). To use any of these rights, message us through the online contact form.
No automated decisions
We don’t make any decisions about you by automated means, and we don’t profile you.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We’ll post any changes on this page and update the date at the top.
